Gophers Men to go to Battle on Sunday
Big game for our J1’s, this Sunday , as one of Salmo’s favourite and most loyal sons, Stephen “Gopher” Kavanagh will proudly lead his J1 team out at Kirwan Park, to take on Naas in their top of the table clash in the J1 league.

The team is coached by Shane Tynan and managed by another Palmerston FC & Salmo legend the evergreen Peter Fields, with Conor “Cabbage” Kavanagh also having recently joined the management team.

We’d like to ask all club members to try and attend this huge game and cheer on the lad’s.

Kieran Burke Tournament

It's that time of the year again when the plans for the Kieran Burke tournament are being finalised. Dave Hicks would like to ask if any of the salmo news readers have any contacts who maybe able to help sponsor the contents of a goody bag for each of the participating children.

He is looking to get a piece of fruit, bar of chocolate and a soft drink for each child. This year there are 67 teams taking part with over 800 u6 & 7 year old children.

If you can help contact David Hicks directly on (m) 087 2565656 or david@themeatfactoryoutlet.com

Get well soon

Unfortunately a few bad knocks have been picked up over the last two weekends, At J1 level Brian Devitt and Killian Keogh, both broke their wrists in their recent game vs Wanderers. Also at J5 Vs Nure last Saturday, Stephen Dunne got a nasty knock on his knee. Best wishes to all the lads on making a speedy recovery and getting back in the Salmo colours ASAP.
