Leinster Interpro Honours for Simi Shanu

Congratulations to our own Simi Shanu who started in the Leinster team which secured the U18.5 Interprovincial title with victory over Munster yesterday. Simi also started the games against Connacht and Ulster on the way to the final.

Simi has been with DLSP since joining the Daisy Pickers and played alongside the boys through U11s until the DLSP Girls Section was established and she joined it at U12s. She has played for Leinster Metro the past two seasons on her way to yesterday's final.

Proud Grandad Brian Butterly, himself a past pupil of De La Salle Churchtown and former Salmo player, is pictured with Simi.

Simi will be part of the De La Mary's U18 squad this season and we wish her and her teammates all the best for the coming year.
