Looking Back to The President's Dinner 2026

We were delighted to extend our traditional Salmo welcome to members and guests as we celebrated our Annual President's Dinner with our Club President, Niall Fitzgerald, on Friday, 23 October.

A special welcome was extended to Niall's family, visiting Presidents, elected officials, school representatives and our guest speaker Ian Madigan.

The feedback from the visiting Presidents has been unanimously positive, with many praising what was a fantastic start to their year of official engagements. We set the bar high with a warm welcome, excellent food, great company, outstanding service and a welcoming clubhouse atmosphere.

A tremendous amount of time and effort goes into preparing for an evening such as this, and there are a number of people who deserve our sincere thanks.

A special thank you to our organising committee, whose hard work in both the planning and preparation ensured a successful and enjoyable event.

Thank you also to Mariana, Ken and The Salmo Social for their hard work and generous hospitality throughout the evening.

Ross, Philip, Scott, Luke and Amaraa from our 18.5s were exceptional ambassadors for the club while looking after our visiting Presidents and invited guests. You represented the club superbly and did us all proud.

One final thank you is reserved for Joe Lee as he steps down from his role as Club Secretary. Joe, thank you for the hard work, dedication, and commitment you have shown over the past number of years. Your contribution to the club has been greatly appreciated.

Finally, we wish Niall every success for the year ahead. We could not ask for a better ambassador for our club, and we look forward to supporting him throughout his Presidential year.
